Styling tips for straigher hair

Have you ever wondered why your hair looks the best after leaving the salon and you don't have the same results?  Well, here are some simple reasons and tips to help you achieve that gorgeous style.

One of the reasons why it looks extra special after leaving the salon besides the stylists talented skills is PRODUCT.  Yes, product!!!  You won't and I say, "won't" achieve the same results as stylists do without them.  Pay attention to what your stylist is using.  They should tell you, and if you are busy discussing something else, feel free to interrupt and ask.

To get smoothly styled straight hair, towel dry hair and apply a straightening balm to your hair when wet like  Rusk's Str8or Loma's Smoothing Creme with an oil for shine.  I like Biosilk's Silk TherapyThen blow dry with your fingers and separate the hair while doing so and also flip your hair upside down.  Continue to do this as long as it takes to get your hair 90 % dry.  Then use your brush.  Hair dries fastest from the hairline in.  It also stretches 30% more when wet, so pulling on it with a brush will only make it break more easily if it isn't dry enough.  Use a round brush if you can handle it to give your hair more smoothness by sectioning the hair with butterfly clips.  Finish with a flat iron by sectioning from the bottom to top with butterfly clips.  Using a thermal comb so it doesn't melt and sectioning the hair appropriately will save you time.  Don't go over your hair repeatedly with low heat.  Take it to a higher level and do it less.

Finish with an anti-humectant like Loma's Fiber Putty.  Apply it lightly by using the heat from your hands to melt it and spread it on the top layers of the hair to control frizz.

Save even more time, by having a Brazilian Blowout which is the number one smoothing system out there!
